I have loved painting otters this year. I enjoy trying to capture their swirling, twisting bodies and the joy they share in their movements. The more I paint them the looser my brushstrokes get- and loosening up my brushstrokes is always my goal! These two are painted in browns, golds and grey and pop against a white background. I’ve added just a little gold and silver patterning in the background, to mimic grasses in the “water” they swim in and the flow of their motion.
